Tom Smith (That's Me) Singing "There's Always Me"
I made this recording a few years ago and thought I would upload it here, as it's been many years since I have posted audio of me singing. I really enjoyed singing this lovely ballad. This was recorded in front of my computer using a computer mic, so the sound quality isn't the greatest, but I hope you like it anyway.
"There's Always Me" was written by Don Robertson. I was inspired by Elvis Presley's rendition, but it was also recorded by Jim Reeves, Eddy Arnold, Ray Price, Dickie Rock and The Miami Showband, the Honeycombs, Emile Ford, Rupert, Maarten Jansen, Claudio Araya, Ronnie McDowell, and Peter Williams.

One of the most beautiful songs ever written. This is a re-post with better audio. Released as an RCA Victor single in January 1950. A #1 hit for John McCormack in 1916. A remake of the song was a hit for Mike Berry in 1980. Also recorded by Frank Sinatra and the Fureys. Written by Leonard Cooke and Lilian Ray. The other side of this record is "The Little Grey Home In The West", which I've also...

My favorite Kathy Linden record, who was famous for her '50's hits, "Billy" and the haunting "Goodbye Jimmy Goodbye". This incredible song has it all, catchy lyrics and melody, a dynamite arrangement and a stellar vocal performance by the lovely Kathy. Written by top songwriters, Felice and Boudleaux Bryant, it should have been a big hit, but it went unnoticed and did not chart. Original Billbo...

Recorded February 19, 1930. An annual festival, "Rose of Tralee", held in Tralee, County Kerry, was inspired by this song. Written by C. Mordaunt Spencer and Charles W. Glover. Authorship of "Rose of Tralee" has been disputed. Wikipedia states that some claim it was "written by William Pembroke Mulchinock, a wealthy Protestant, out of love for Mary O'Connor, a poor Catholic maid in service to h...

This is a re-recording of a song which originally charted for Tracy at #19 in 1932. It became his signature song, and he was the first artist to have a hit with it. I do not know when this particular version was recorded, but it has the sound quality of the 1930's or early 1940's. Also #15 for Tony Martin in December 1949, and #20 for the Bachelors in July 1967 (in the UK). Also recorded by Dav...

"I'll Take You Home Again, Kathleen" is a popular song written by Thomas Paine Westendorf in 1875. Westendorf was born in Virginia of German parents in 1848. (The music is loosely based on Felix Mendelssohn's Violin Concerto in E Flat Minor Opus 64 Second Movement). In spite of its German-American origins, it is widely mistaken to be an Irish ballad.

Although Oobie Doobie was side B, it became more popular. It obviously was an attempt to sound like Elvis' early Sun recordings. Whereas this cut wasn't close to the Elvis version mainly because of the evolving sound of Moore's unique guitar sound which wasn't duplicated here... Still a good version.
